What is a Meeting-in-a-Box?

  • A small group meeting where you can dive into comprehensive plan topics from land use and mobility to neighborhoods and the natural environment
  • A way for Richardson’s residents and stakeholders to provide additional input for the Envision Richardson Comprehensive Plan Update
  • A great excuse for a group of neighbors, friends, co-workers, book clubs, church members—any small group of people who live or work in Richardson—to get together

About the Meeting-in-a-Box

  • Your small group meeting can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the group and the length of discussion you have around the different questions and topics
  • You can facilitate the meeting yourself or request an Ambassador to help run the discussion
  • Answer some of the questions provided or all of them; make it work for your group
  • We encourage discussion

How to Meeting-in-a-Box

  • Arrange your group’s meeting time and location (can be in-person or virtual)
  • Contact the Envision Richardson team if you’d like to have an Ambassador facilitate your meeting
  • Guide your group through the various topics and questions you’ve selected from those provided
  • Develop a consensus among the group
  • Fill out the Meeting-in-a-Box online form using your smartphone, tablet, or computer
